BIOGRAPHY
Eileen M. Cleary, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist licensed in the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania. Dr. Cleary earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1993 from the Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University. Dr. Cleary completed the Neuropsychology track in that doctoral program. She holds an M.A. degree in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J.
Dr. Cleary has received specialized training in psychodrama, projective figure drawing interpretation, and EMDR.
Dr. Cleary is the former director of the Intensive Trauma Assistance Program at Children’s Crisis Treatment Center in Philadelphia. This program was the first of its kind in the Philadelphia area to exclusively treat child victims/survivors of homicide, suicide, domestic violence, severe abuse, and catastrophic injury.
Dr. Cleary has worked extensively with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient, inpatient, rehabilitation, and residential facilities over the past 20 years.
Dr. Cleary has given workshops/presentations on “Working with Traumatized Children” for mental health, law enforcement, victim advocacy, and criminal justice personnel throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware. She has given interviews on the subject of children and traumatic violence to various newspapers and television stations in Philadelphia.
